Let's Write Your FIRST SCREENPLAY!

Hi Reader,

Here it is - the details I promised you last week!

I'm opening up my screenwriting process to a small group of beginners who are serious about writing their first screenplay.

It's called Zero to Hero: The Beginner's Guide to Confident Screenwriting.

Over the past 15 years, I've written award-winning screenplays. I've worked on film sets in every capacity you can imagine. I've seen firsthand what separates scripts worthy of getting made from scripts that collect dust.

But systematically taking someone from complete beginner to finished screenplay? That's a different skill altogether.

So why am I doing it?

Because I'm tired of seeing great stories die in people's heads.

Every week, someone emails me: "Neil, I have this incredible movie idea, but I don't know where to start." Or "I tried to write a script, but gave up after 10 pages because I had no clue what I was doing."

The truth is, 95% of people who want to write screenplays never make it past page 1. Not because they lack talent or good ideas, but because they lack a roadmap.

Here's what I'm offering:

12 weeks. Live instruction. Small group (up to 10 students). Real feedback on your actual pages.

By December, you'll have your completed first draft short screenplay. Not someday. Not "when you get around to it." By December.

What makes me qualified to teach this?

  • 15+ years working in film (writer, director, actor, producer, editor)
  • 100+ international screenwriting and film competition wins
  • Multiple produced screenplays
  • Professional script coverage service
  • Most importantly: I approach every script from multiple perspectives - as a writer, filmmaker, AND audience member

I'm not some guru selling get-rich-quick screenwriting dreams. I'm a working professional who knows what actually works in the real world.

The program includes:

  • 12 live weekly sessions (90 minutes each, starting September 16th)
  • Personal feedback on your pages during "hot seat" coaching sessions
  • Private community access for ongoing support
  • Progressive assignments that build week by week
  • A proven system that takes you from idea to "FADE OUT"

This is for you if:

  • You have zero screenwriting experience (seriously, we start from the basics)
  • You have some experience but you need a solid refresher
  • You have a story idea but no clue how to structure it
  • You've tried writing before but got stuck and don't know why
  • You want personal instruction, not just videos to watch alone
  • You're ready to commit 12 weeks to finally finishing your first short script

This is NOT for you if:

  • You're looking for shortcuts (there aren't any)
  • You want someone to write your script for you
  • You're not willing to show up consistently for 12 weeks
  • You just want to "dabble" in screenwriting

Investment: $597 (or 3 payments of $209/month)

Start Date: Tuesday, September 16th, 5:00 pm MST

Duration: 12 weeks of live instruction

Group Size: Limited to 10 students maximum

And as a special THANK YOU for being part of the Neil Chase Film community, I'm offering $100 off ONLY to my Newsletter subscribers - THIS MEANS YOU!

Just use my special code: NEIL100 and get $100 off (for a limited time only)!

I'm keeping the group small because this is about transformation, not information. You're not student #47. You get personal attention on your specific work.

Why am I announcing this now?

Because if you've ever thought of writing a screenplay, I want you thinking about your story idea between now and September 16th. I want you marinating on what you want to write about.

The writers who show up with a concept they're excited about always get the most out of the program.

Ready to go from someone who "wants to write a screenplay" to someone who's actually written one?

Over the next week, I'll be sharing more details about exactly how this program works, what you'll learn each week, and why I believe this approach works when others don't.

But for now, I wanted YOU to be the first to know.

Your story matters. Let me help you tell it!

Any questions? Just hit REPLY and let me know - I respond to every email!

As always, thank you for reading, and have a great week ahead! Stay creative!

Neil

Hi Reader, Fear is sneaky. It whispers: “You’re not ready.” Or worse: “What if you fail?” But here’s the truth: sooner or later, if you want to accomplish anything, especially writing - a screenplay, a novel, a short story, a poem - you have to stop dreaming about it and start doing it. Almost everyone I meet tells me they’ve got a movie idea. A story they’ve been carrying around for years. But most people never put it on the page. They would rather tell me the idea in the far-fetched hope...

Hi Reader, Let’s talk about experience. The dictionary definition is "practical contact with and observation of facts or events" - which is another way of saying "familiarity with something from learning about it or doing it". Now, everyone knows experience makes you better. But what does that actually mean for writers? How do you get experience as a writer? How do you get better? Here are the top three ways: Every time you write, you gain experience. Even if it’s messy. Even if it’s bad....

Hi Reader, Be honest with me for a second — how many times have you said: “I’ve got a great idea for a movie… I just haven’t started writing it yet.” Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Almost every new writer hits the same roadblocks before they even type “FADE IN.” I should know - it happened to me too! I was nervous to start writing, and when I tried, I quickly gave up. It all seemed beyond me! But I didn't give up. I'll be honest, I think I was just too stubborn to quit. So I read a ton of...
