Thoughts On Our Theatrical Premiere!

Hi Reader,

This past weekend was one I’ll never forget.

Contamination, our indie action feature, had its official theatrical premiere right here in my hometown of Edmonton, Alberta, through Landmark Cinemas - and what happened next went far beyond anything we expected.

Over the course of three days, we sold out four of our six screenings. Not only that, but Landmark Cinemas announced they’re extending our Edmonton run for a second weekend, with six more screenings added! These will run in tandem with our upcoming Calgary screenings, and we’ve just received word that Vancouver is likely next.

This is all part of our multi-city Canadian theatrical release, which also includes Toronto, Kingston, and Ottawa - but now, the release is expanding, thanks to incredible audience support.

The atmosphere at the screenings was electric. Packed houses. Audience laughs, gasps, and cheers in all the right places. And best of all, many of our cast and crew were there to experience it with us.

We held Q&A sessions after every screening, and the feedback we received was heartfelt, generous, and enthusiastic. The kind of energy that reminds you why we make movies in the first place.

And the excitement didn’t stop inside the theater.

Leading up to opening weekend, we were featured on multiple radio interviews, and Contamination received a full-page spread in the Edmonton Journal, calling it the movie to see this weekend. Apparently, a lot of people took that advice - because we officially became the #1 film in the city based on seats sold, even beating out major Hollywood releases.

This coming weekend, I’ll be heading to Calgary with my co-director David Heacock for the next wave of screenings, while the rest of the team keeps things rolling back here in Edmonton.

And honestly? We’re thrilled to have this “problem” of added shows, growing demand, and more cities coming onboard. It means people are connecting with what we made - and that’s the dream - a return to 80's-style storytelling in movies.

Every screening makes our little action movie shine a little brighter.
And no matter how far this goes, one thing is already clear:

Contamination has officially exceeded expectations in the best possible way.

Thanks for being part of this wild journey - and stay tuned. There's more to come!

Hi Reader, You ever watch a movie and think… “This should have worked. The pieces were all there. So what went wrong?” That’s exactly what happened to me at the tail end of my winter holidays. I finally had a free evening to do something I rarely get to do during the year: absolutely nothing. Well… almost nothing. After a steady diet of holiday movies with the kids and way too much stuffing, I decided it was time for something a little different. So I fired up a movie I’d been meaning to...

Hi Reader, What a year it’s been. Looking back on 2025, I’m honestly filled with gratitude - not just for the things I got to create, but for the people who’ve supported me along the way. That means YOU. Whether you've watched my videos, joined my courses, booked a coaching session, or just sent a kind message - you’ve helped make this year one of the most meaningful of my creative life. So before we head into 2026, I wanted to take a minute to reflect, share some personal highlights, and let...

Hi Reader, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! The holiday rush is winding down. The wrapping paper’s been tossed, the turkey’s carved (again), and your fridge is probably full of leftovers and half-eaten desserts. And honestly? That’s perfect. Because this whole slow stretch between Christmas and New Year’s isn’t just for food, movies, and football (though, yes to all of those). It’s also one of the best times of the year to pause and recharge. Here’s your gentle reminder: Rest is not a...
