Hi Reader,

So I’m heading to Europe this week, and I can’t wait!

We’ll be travelling through England, Croatia, and Italy, and I’m really looking forward to soaking up the history, seeing new places, and spending some quality time with my family.

But this trip will also be a bit of a working vacation. See, a few days ago, funding was approved for my latest short film, which I’ll be directing from a script I wrote.

It all came together pretty quickly, and we’re planning to go to camera in late September, so there’s a lot to get ready before then.

Locations. Casting. Scheduling. Shot planning. Really, all the little details that turn a script into something real.

Teamwork to the rescue

Luckily, I’ve got a fantastic team around me, and we’ll stay in touch while I’m away.

I can’t share too much about the film yet. We still need to sign contracts and make the official announcements. What I can say is that it’s very much in line with the kind of exciting genre work we’re known for at Brimstone Pictures.

So while I’m exploring old cities, historic sites, and a few amazing landscapes, my brain will also be thinking about scenes, characters, tone, and how to bring this story to life.

Honestly, that feels like a pretty great mix!

Travel has a way of opening up new ideas, and with a new film already in motion, I can't wait to see what it sparks along the way.

You might not hear from me for a week or two, but rest assured I haven't forgotten about you. I'll be back soon, recharged and ready!
